56 track 4CD box set from legendary Boston hardcore kings Gang Green featuring four full albums from the band's years on Roadrunner Records, with bonus tracks. CD 1 features their second full length studio album 'You Got It', originally released in 1987. CD 2 features the hugely successful follow up 'Older... Budweiser' originally released in 1989. CD 3 features the definitive live document 'Can't LIVE Without It' recorded at the Marquee Club in London on February 25th 1990, with the 'I81B4U' EP and their cover of Led Zeppelin's 'Living Loving Maid' as bonus tracks. CD 4 features the compilation 'King Of Bands' originally released in 1991, which includes two specially recorded tracks and three from the debut 'Another Wasted Night'Formed in 1980, and featured on the classic 'This Is Boston, Not LA' compilation in 1982, the band split briefly when founding member Chris Doherty joined Jerry's Kids. The band resurfaced in '85, issuing a 7" that was the first release on influential Boston label Taang! Signing to Roadrunner in '87, and with songs extolling the virtues of drinking and hard partying, the band were embraced by the metal scene and found widespread success, before splitting around 1991. This release features extensive liner notes from respected writer Mark Freebase, including an extended brand new interview with Chris Doherty, the only constant member of Gang Green since 1980, plus additional interviews with manager Alec Peters, guitarist Fritz Erickson, drummer Brian Betzger, bassist Joe Gittleman (who found further success as a founding member of The Mighty Mighty Bosstones) and current guitarist Chris Donelly are all included to round out the story.
