''Born to Do It'' is the debut album by English singer Craig David, released in 2000 via Wildstar and 2001 via Atlantic Records. It is highly revered and acclaimed by R&B critics, and contains some of his highest charting singles. The album was a huge commercial success eventually selling over 8 million copies worldwide, making it one of the biggest albums by a UK R&B artist ever. It debuted at #1 on the UK Albums Chart and was certified 6x Platinum. The title ''Born to Do It'' is from the character Willy Wonka in ''Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory''. The album eventually peaked at #2 on the Australian ARIA Albums Chart after spending nearly 20 weeks on the chart in 2000 it was certified Platinum in the US by RIAA. It was voted number two on the MTV Greatest Albums of All Time in April 2009.
